Luxury shower curtains don't always live up to their name. Many shower curtains are stamped with word luxury that are actually standard 100% polyester shower curtains selling for under $50.

That's not to say there aren't some interesting patterns to be found in cheap luxury shower curtains. But true luxury shower curtains will more often cost from $100 to $200 or more and be made from 100% cotton or Egyptian cotton. White, ivory, and natural are standard looks for such luxury shower curtains, as are waffle and pique textures.

Novelty shower curtains

Of course there are always children’s bathrooms to think of, or maybe a family member who enjoys decorative oddities. If so, novelty shower curtains are the natural choice.

The term novelty shower curtains covers an awfully wide field, including everything from SpongeBob Squarepants to Renaissance cherubs. The trick can often be finding unique shower curtains. Designer shower curtains are your best option if you want a particular image to grace your bathroom.

An uncommon extra touch that will give your bathroom shower curtains a truly singular appearance is novelty shower curtain rings. They're usually inexpensive and probably too kitschy for your primary bathroom, but are ideal for use with children's shower curtains.
