Facial Tissue Holders

What is it, exactly?
Most facial tissue holders are not "holders" exactly.  Most are more like bottomless boxes that fit over the cardboard tissue box.  A slot in the top allows for access to the product.  Of course, there are other designs which encase the original box completely, but the basic design is this plastic or metal cover.

There are as many shapes of holders as there are containers for tissues.  There are the classic rectangle and square models, but also taller rectangle designs as well as cylindrical.

The little things
There are small details in a room that go unnoticed for the most part, but which make a difference in the overall impression the room gives.  Your family or guests may not think about the facial tissue holder sitting on the end table.  They may not admire it aloud.  But a tissue dispenser is one of these small details that add up to the room's aesthetic.

A perfect match
Matching an item like a tissue holder to the rest of the room's décor shows that little extra bit of care.  Many retail outlets carry packages such as bathroom accessory sets that include items such as toothbrush holder, rinse cup, soap dish, and of course a tissue holder.  Other packages go further, including things like a shower curtain and liner, and even a bath mat.

Of course, you can do much of this yourself by simply being mindful of all of your items.  You wouldn't, for instance, want a silver or chrome tissue holder of the dominant accent color in the room was gold.  Likewise, you may not want to go with a pastel if most of the coloring is earth toned.  You know your home better than anyone.  Picking out a small item like a tissue holder is the same as any other addition to your home's aesthetic.  Take your time and use your instincts.  

Seasonal
Often as the weather outside changes, so does your home decor.  A change of tissue holder might be just what your home needs for that extra festive flavor.  There are plenty of fun winter and Christmas designs readily available at that time of year. But this is not the only holiday; keep a lookout for Halloween themed holders and light colored Easter designs.  There are also floral designs perfect for ushering in springtime (not to mention that for many people springtime is when they are most likely to be reaching for a tissue) and warm harvest themed ones for autumn.
