Standing Toilet Paper Holder

A standing toilet paper holder (sometimes referred to as a pedestal toilet paper holder) eliminates the need to affix anything directly to your wall.  This is especially important if the walls around your toilet are tiled.  They normally stand a little under two feet high and have a weighted base for extra stability.  Perhaps the most convenient aspect of these products is their portability.  Easily transfer it to a guest bathroom when visitors arrive and back to its original place when it is just the family.

Some of the choices
Most standing holders are metal.  It is a classic look, harkening back to the early nineteenth century and before.  Popular finishes are chrome, brass, and satin nickel.  But there are others, including a copper patina for an old west American look and wrought iron for a sturdy handmade feel.

Prices for standing toilet paper holders vary widely depending on the style.  It is safe to say that they begin around $20.  For more desirable materials or even hand craftsmanship, you can expect to pay up to and even above $100.  This may seem like a lot of money, but if it is in your budget, give it some thought; it is one of those items that can add that extra wow to a room.
