Closet Shelving

Closet shelving is one of many solutions to a cluttered closet lacking in space. Closet shelves are able to utilize vertical space that is often wasted.

Closet shelves can be made out of wood, plastic, or wire, or a combination of the three. Many opt for plastic, wire or particle board, which tends to be less expensive than wood. And since the shelves will be out of the general viewing area, it's ok to go cheap in this area.

Closet shelves can work from the ground up, or from the ceiling down. If you have a lot of shoes, it may be smart to leave open space at the bottom of your closet. On the other hand, if you plan on storing sweaters or other items, using a shelf that sits right near the floor may be perfect for you.
