Garage Tool Organizers

How much could you get accomplished if you could always find your tools and you had the room to use them. Tool organizers offer not only excellent storage but also work surfaces that will make those fix-it chores much easier.

Stanley Garage Organization

Stanley makes a number of stainless steel tool organizers that look great and are very affordable. From the Fat Max rolling tool chest to their line of steel door garage cabinets Stanley has addressed tool organization like few of its competitors. Their cabinetry has built in pegboards that allow for quick and easy setup. Also since they use standard pegboards instead of some other proprietary system you can buy the attachments cheaply and conveniently.

Rubbermaid

Rubbermaid offers a ton of different shop tool storage solutions. One of the handiest is the long handle tool tower. This is a rack that allows you to quickly and easily store garden tools and other similarly unwieldy objects to be put away without frustration or incident. Keep an eye out for the triangle shaped organizer that can help put that dark corner of the garage to good use.

Automotive Garage Wheeled Cart

These are a cheap and easy way to organize your tools. They can hold a toolbox while also giving you a central place to put tools as you use them. Once you're done with a job you may have to stop for a moment and with the cart you can do so without fear of losing any tools. The tools will be there when you get back so you can replace them in your toolbox or on a pegboard without having to run around finding which nook or cranny you left the 5/8 wrench in.

Magnetic Tool Bar

This is another favorite; magnetic tool bars can bring organization with very little effort. You just mount them to a wall or even a workbench and you can get started. Since most tools are made of high carbon steel you can just slap them up on the magnet and they are easy to locate and up and out of your way. If you run out of room on one you can keep adding them until all of your tools are out of the way.

Another added benefit to magnets is that they magnetize your tools. With magnetized tools the tool can hold on to the fastener. So if you have a small screw that needs to be put into a tight fit you are in business with a magnetic screwdriver. If none of these ideas seem to fit then you may be in need of a professional garage organizer.
