Some of the more functional and good-looking kitchen storage canisters I have found are the stainless steel lever sealing type. I like the clean look of stainless steel even though at times it can be a bit expensive. What is great about these canisters is that they are an affordable way to bring additional stainless into the kitchen.

Another advantage to the stainless steel storage container is the seal. I like to store bulk spices, sugar and flour in them and sometimes these can offer a challenge. They offer a challenge in that they are often the targets of pesky ants. With the levered sealing mechanism you can be sure that they will not attract ants.

Laundry

Laundry can become challenging and if you don't remain on top of it you can easily be overwhelmed. Without some kind of storage system you can find your laundry room quickly going awry. Fortunately, there are entire groups of engineers at companies like Rubbermaid and California Closets who are constantly fighting against laundry room clutter.

Underbed boxes help you store seasonal items, as well as taming the underbed beast.

Laundry sorters help you separate dirty laundry in an uncluttered manner. Look for a sorter with casters so that it can be conveniently moved to that pile of clothes you need to tackle.

Hanging shelves and garment racks allow for the organization of laundered clothes, over and beyond simply using hangers.

Closet

Once the laundry has been done, what to do with it` Carts are great; you can take them to the problem and use them to start the organizing process. This is no less true for clean clothes and linens as it is for those that have yet to be laundered.

Linen carts are a great way to not only organize your freshly laundered linens but also as a way of storing them in the bath. Many of these carts come with great looking chrome or powder-coated metal tube frames and very attractive unbleached cloth drawers. You may also consider their use for clothing and closet organization.

There are also plastic carts that are very inexpensive that can be used as storage and also as a means of transporting clean clothes from your washing area to your bedroom.
