Storage racks can be made out of wood, plastic or metal. One common storage rack consists of metal framework which is constructed in the shape of cubes and fitted together, or stacked. Once in place, metal, plastic, or cardboard drawers can be inserted.
Many storage racks are made for a specific item. A shoe rack, for example, consists of pieces of plastic or metal which are made to fit inside a shoe and secure it in place. Another example is a rack designed to hold DVDs. The width of the DVD can be inserted into a slot which is the exact size of the item.
General storage racks can be designed to fit different areas of your home, such as a closet, a shelf, inside cabinets, or even a free standing unit. To learn more about different styles of storage racks, click on the informational links below.
