Designed to bring support and comfort to the body, there are many different types of pillows, including body pillows (which are great for side sleepers and pregnant women, neck pillows (typically what one rests his or her head on while sleeping), and husband pillows, also know as a bedrest, which include a high back and two arms (great for using while reading in bed).
Pillows can be made out of many materials, including synthetic fibers, foam, down, or feathers.
The standard size of a pillow used for sleeping is 20 x 30 inches. The size is referred to as "Oxford size."
Functional pillows, unlike decorative pillows, often use a pillow case to protect the pillow from stains, spills, and other unwanted dirt or dust.
