Why Buy a Mini Fridge

Convenience anywhere

The dorm room is the size of a prison cell, and two people are supposed to peacefully share the space. One essential that's easy to share, and takes up very little space: the mini fridge.

Keep it stocked with snacks, leftovers, frothy beverages, cover it with fridge magnets; it'll be the most useful thing in the college dorm room, when late-night study sessions are burning a hungry hole in your stomach. Set the microwave on top, and the college room is set. Samsung models are popular, and some even come with a microwave attached.

Portability a problem?

The mini cooler fridge is the next step up in mini fridges: It's portable. These camping fridges and mini cooler fridges run off of electricity, but are small enough to take carry like a cooler.

This little fridge can be plugged in wherever, to your car, at your office, at home, or any other place you can think. Some of these camping fridges even run off of battery power. And unlike a normal fridge, mini cooler fridges don't need to stand upright. Set it anywhere you can plug it in, and your meals are good to go. Most of the fridge thermostats are covered to protect the temps from fluctuating, too. Don't worry if the little ones knock it over.

Some camping fridges, like the Vec1224m Vector Mini Fridge, keep your cold things cold, but also come equipped with thermo-electric warming capabilities, too. So keep it cold, then heat it up when you need to!

Magic mini fridges?

Too bad there's no such thing as a magic fridge, magically appearing and always full of beer. But there is such a thing as a convenient beer fridge.

Mini fridges, at their smallest, can normally hold at least a 24-pack of cans, or 12 bottles, perfect for the rec room. Larger ones can hold more, plus dip, snacks, or anything else needed within arm's reach of the big game.

Display fridges fit well into the rec room design. They normally have glass doors, perfect for keeping track of alcohol, beer, and sandwiches. Or, put them to use as a wine fridge or alcohol fridge in the kitchen or bar area.

Wine for all

Wine fridges are the ultimate accessory for the wine connoisseur, but even casual wine collectors can benefit from their use. These mini fridges are the modern equivalent of the cold, dark, and damp wine cellars of yesterday. The advantage of wine fridges is that your wine will be subject to less vibration, which disturbs flavor, than a normal refrigerator, and you control the temperature. Keeping the fridge thermostat at 11 - 25 degrees will encourage the full flavor of your wine, and will also keep wine aging without turning it to vinegar.

No matter what you need a mini fridge for, there's definitely one made for you.
