Bumper Pool

Bumper Pool

A bumper table differs from a standard pool table in several ways. First and most apparent is that there are only two pockets instead of six. Also, there are twelve bumpers as opposed to the standard eight. The balls are also different. While a standard game of pool is played with fifteen balls, solids and stripes, bumper pool has only ten, red and white.

The point of the game is to get your balls into your opponent's pocket through a series of "bank" shots.

Many Americans are not familiar with bumper pool, and that is why it is such a great addition to a home game room. Ask your friends if they'd like to play a game of pool and then watch the quizzical expressions form as they see the strange table.
