Roofing

With the constant pounding your home roofing takes, it should be checked multiple times throughout the year, for signs of wear. If it looks like it has damage, or leaks have developed, roofing should be dealt with immediately. If your roofing fails, everything underneath it is at risk. And for most of us, that can be nearly everything we own.

Although other types of roofing are available, asphalt shingles are, by far, the most common. Asphalt roofing is used on 90 percent of American homes and provides the most affordable option for roofing homes. Wood, tile, steel, and slate roofing are also available, but asphalt roofing will last the longest for the money.

Roofing asphalt shingles are produced in four basic types: laminated, interlocking, strip, and oversize. Some strip shingles can be fashioned to look like wood shingles for a more rustic touch to your roofing.
