Door Bells

Installing a new door bell for your home is an easy project. Wireless and wired door bells are available.

Wireless models run off a standard home outlet or batteries and can be placed nearly anywhere. These door bells consist of two units; the button and the sound unit. Attractive versions are made that allow them to be placed on a wall in any room and they can often be programmed for various sounds.

Wired door bells are typically operate at 10 volts and use a transformer. Often the transformer also needs to be replaced along with the button because the transformer is designed to provide the correct voltage for your specific door bell. On the newer door bell units, the transformer is built into the unit.
