Often times you can choose whether you want a remote to control your electric fireplace or mantel-mounted controls. Either way you control the heat and flames of your electric fireplace with a simple switch of a knob.

Installation of an electric fireplace is as complicated as plugging in the unit, which is one of the reasons for its growing popularity. An electric fireplace gives you the exact look of a wooden fireplace, complete with flickering flames, without having to do major reconstruction.

In addition to the easy installation, an electric fireplace requires absolutely no venting or wiring.
