Hole Punch

A hole punch is a common office item that allows the user the ability to "punch" a series of holes into an entire stack of paper in just one motion. Once the stack is punched they are usual inserted into ringed binders. The roots of the modern hole punch can be traced back to the 1800's put it wasn't until the 20th century that the mechanism was truly perfected. Aside from the standard 3-ring style that is commonplace in most offices, hole punches offer a variety of perforation to accommodate any particular use.

Before the days of hole punches, collections of paper were either kept in stacks of painstakingly bound into books for future use. Either way the user went, accessing information was inconvenient at best. In time, mankind would eventually become fed up with the entire tedious process and invent a more convenient way to keep paper secure and orderly.
