Staplers are said to have their roots in the 18th France when crude models were said to have been used in the court of King Louis XIV, but it wasn't until 1866 when the Novelty Paper Fastener was patented by the Patent Novelty Manufacturing Company and the stapler as we know it was born.
Not all staplers are created equal. Depending on which type you choose and which manufacturer produces it, the desired results can be varied at best. While some people swear by a particular brand of stapler, such as the character of Milton from the movie "Office Space" who cherished his one-of-a-kind red Swingline stapler, others are indifferent to the matter. Well, they're indifferent until their stapler butchers a clean report of theirs by misfiring or jamming.
Depending on how you plan to use your stapler, you should realize that there are different staplers for different jobs. Click on the links below to learn more about what kind of stapler is right for you.
