
Origination in the 1490's, the world globe has been a fixture in society ever since. The invention of the earliest known world globe is attributed to a 15th century German mapmaker by the name of Martin Behaim. While his (and many other early world globes) were by today's scientific standards highly flawed, today's world globes have been perfected for accurate scientific and scholastic use.
