The scientific concept of entropy states that everything in the universe is moving toward randomness and disorder. To which most office workers respond: duh. Take a photograph of your desk at 7AM Monday morning and another at 5PM the same day, and you'll see what entropy looks like firsthand. Desk organizers might seem like weird science, but they're a simple way to keep your work area from descending into chaos.

Paper

Paper is the number one culprit when talking about desktop clutter. There are a few different desk organizers that can address the paper problem. A multi-tiered paper organizer that fits on your desktop will keep important documents accessible and out of the way. Plastic paper organizers are inexpensive, or try a handsome beechwood or pine paper organizer for an extra stylish touch.

Scissors

Stationary accessories such as pens, pencils, paper clips, tape, scissors, and post-it notes can sometimes be the hardest things to keep organized. Entropy, then, is not so guaranteed after all. With a little patience and time to get used to your new desk organizers, that 5PM photo of your desk will be looking just like the 7AM photo.
