Computer printers are devices that interface with a computer to reproduce text or graphics. In the early years, printers like the "dot matrix" couldn't do much more than reproduce simple text documents. But today, inkjet and laser printers are of such high quality that they can print near-photo quality pictures on a variety of different papers.
Both inkjet and laser printers use replaceable ink cartridges. These cartridges last for a certain period of time before needing to be replaced, and are relatively inexpensive when considering the cost of commercial photo developing. The printers themselves are generally quite inexpensive; a good quality photo printer can be bought for less than $200.
When shopping for a new printer, it's best to consider what you'll be using it for. If you're interested in never using a photo developer again, you may want to consider a high-quality photo printer. For more information on printers, view the articles below.
