Satellite Radio 175

Satellite Radio

Satellite radio is a subscription-based radio service broadcast via satellite. It's similar to cable TV in that there are no commercials, and it's purely digital, which means better reception and sound quality.

Currently there are two satellite radio providers: XM Radio and Sirius Radio. Both are commercial-free, digitally broadcast, and offer hundreds of music, sports, and talk radio. And because it's not a free service, satellite radio is totally uncensored.

All you need is an inexpensive satellite radio system, which consists of an antenna and a receiver. In fact, some car stereos are satellite-ready, right off the assembly line. As of 2006, both services cost around $13 per month. But keep in mind that with satellite radio, you'll get a constant signal no matter where you are.
