HDTV

HDTV is a relatively new advancement in viewing technology. HDTV, or “High-Definition TV,” allows viewers to watch TV at resolutions that were unheard of only a few years ago. HDTV displays 1080 active lines, which is a resolution much higher than conventional TV.

The picture is crisp, bright, and full of life. HDTV's feature an HDTV tuner, which allows the TV to decode high definition broadcasts and cable channels, a technology that most major networks and cable companies are providing these days. Many HDTVs are shaped differently than normal TVs as well; they feature a 16:9 aspect ratio, more commonly known as widescreen.

Most HDTVs are substantially thinner than regular TVs, and flat-screen HDTVs have an even thinner profile, allowing them to easily be mounted to a wall. If you're a fan of great video quality and high detail, then HDTV is for you. To learn more about HDTV, check out the following articles.
