The plasma TV uses an interesting plasma gas technology that was developed some years ago, but only implemented to the television consumer market in recent years. Plasma TVs produce a bright, vivid picture, and are capable of displaying a wide range of rich colors.

Plasma TVs are at their best when watched in a dark environment, able to display a “perfect black,” which is a term used to describe optimal movie-watching conditions. Plasma TVs are able to be viewed at wider angles than LCD TVs, which allows a greater variety of seating positions in a home theater setup.
