Crib bedding is sized to fit crib mattresses. Bumper pads provide a soft cushion to crib sides. Quilts or comforters, fitted sheets, blankets, pillow shams and dust ruffles are also available.
Cotton bedding is more comfortable next to the skin in warmer and humid climates. Flannel sheets have a napped texture that captures air to provide softness and warmth. Jersey knit bedding offers the softness and flexibility of well-worn t-shirt material. Footed sleepers may be more effective than crib bedding to keep infants warm during sleep since sleepers can’t be tossed aside.
Bedding is available in varied colors and patterns, coordinating with any nursery setting. Higher thread count sheets are typically more durable.
Be sure to read and follow washing instructions to retain quality. Remember crib safety: stuffed animals, quilts and pillows are decorative and should not be used with sleeping infants.
