A pasta insert is ideal when cooking pasta for large groups. Rather than having several large pots of water taking up every available burner, one pot can be used to create batches of perfectly prepared pasta.
A pasta insert is a perforated liner that fits inside a stock pot. This insert is filled with pasta and water. When the pasta is cooked, the pasta insert is removed. The pasta insert drains the water back into the pot, leaving the pasta. This allows the boiling water to remain in the stock pot, ready for the pasta insert to be returned for another batch.
A pasta insert makes preparing vast amounts of pasta easy. Other tips on pasta: Do not add oil, it prevents sauce from sticking to the pasta. Add salt to the water after it has begun to boil, or it may pit the pot.
