Place Settings

There are two kinds of place settings, dinnerware and flatware. Finding the perfect place setting will depend on your dinning room decor and personality. Place settings for dinnerware usually include a dinner plate, salad or desert plate, soup bowl, saucer, and cup.

Flatware place settings include knife, soup spoon, table spoon, dinner fork, and salad fork. A place setting can also include wine glass, water glass, and napkin. Place mats can also be used for casual dining. Configuration of place settings typically depends on what is being served as well as the formality of the gathering. Whatever the event, it is recommended to have two types of place settings available, casual and formal.
