The what about weave
1. Select some yarn or string to use on the potholder loom. With the potholder loom, it is easy to use one color, or two. You will also need a standard crochet hook.
2. Take your first color and cut off a long double strand. On the side of the potholder loom you should see a round, flat peg. Tie the double yard in a slip-knot around this peg.
3. Now wrap the yard around the top peg of the potholder loom. Bring the yarn down and wrap it around the corresponding peg on the bottom of the potholder loom. Bring the yarn back up and wind it around the next peg on the top. Repeat this process until you have reached the last peg on the bottom row.
Be sure to wind the yarn fairly loosely, as this will be the base of your potholder loom, and you will be weaving your second color through it.
4. Cut the first color yarn, and tie on your second color (using a slipknot on the same peg of the potholder loom as the first). You should again use a double strand. Hook the yarn in the crochet hook, and run the hook horizontally through the first color of yarn. Go under 4 strands and over 4 strands until you reach the other end of the potholder loom. Then, pull the yarn through, and wrap it around the corresponding peg.
Now, weave the yarn back through the potholder loom using the same process. Continue weaving and wrapping until you reach the last peg on the potholder loom.
5. It is now time to remove the potholder from the potholder loom. To do this, you will simultaneously crochet a simple border and remove the potholder.
Using your crochet hook, lift the first loop off the first peg of the potholder loom, and bring it over the second loop. Pull the second loop through (removing it from the peg of the potholder loom in the process), and bring it over the third loop. Repeat until you reach the last loop on the potholder loom. Untie your slipknot and run the thread through the final loop, tying it off. This will create a neat border for your potholder.
