Blenders

The simple structure of a blender has remained relatively unchanged since its inception. The top carafe features a lid to keep blending ingredients in. The bottom of the carafe features a spinning blade powered by the base motor. Usually this blade assembly is removable for easy cleaning. The entire carafe is removable from the base motor unit for cleaning and pouring purposes.

Though originally designed to blend soda fountain drinks, the blender has found versatility in the kitchen that keeps it in high regard as a culinary necessity. With the blender's ability to crush ice, it is a popular way to make mixed drinks. Milkshakes, dressings, and smoothies can all be made with a blender. The food processor has taken the majority of food grinding duties, while the blender is primarily used with liquids.
