Food Grinders

Food Grinders

Food grinders come in a variety of styles, with most offering similar designs. Typically, a food grinder is used for making meats like hamburger or sausage. Some food grinders can also produce ground nuts and other dried foods. Electric or manual, food grinders feature an internal mechanism that shreds and chops the food into small particles. Sausage attachments are common and are used to produce a variety of sausage recipes. To grind the meat, food is put into a hopper, run through a series of grinders, and forced out a mesh of small holes to create the final product.

Other types of food grinders include small processors and coffee mills. These are blade or burr type appliances used specifically for grinding hard or dried foods such as nuts, herbs, or coffee beans.
