Juicers

Juicers

The extensive benefits of fruit and vegetable juice have made electric juicers a popular addition to kitchen arsenals around the world. Far from the handheld juicers used for fruits, electric juicers provide an easy way to extract the maximum amount of juice from both fruits and vegetables. Juicers do this by grinding up the matter and separating the liquid from the leftover pulp. There are two basic types of juicers, centrifugal and masticating juicers.

Centrifugal juicers use centrifugal force and a spinning grater to separate the pulp from the juice. These juicers are typically less expensive than masticating juicers. Masticating juicers pulverize the matter and push it through a wire mesh, presenting the juice and reserving the pulp. The leftover pulp can either be discarded or used in breads, muffins, soups, or other recipes.
