There is a plethora of small kitchen appliances on the market used by chefs and home cooks to make food preparation simple and efficient. There are many categories of small kitchen appliances, all of which are typically electric driven.
The main types of small kitchen appliances fall under the categories of mixer, chopper, or maker. Mixers include blenders, hand mixers, and bowl style mixers. Choppers include food processors, graters, and hand choppers. Makers include anything that actually helps create the finished product. This is usually food-specific such as ice cream, popcorn, or bread makers. General makers include sandwich makers, toaster ovens, electric skillets, microwaves, and toasters.
