Rechargeable Electric Carving Knives

Recharging to Save Time

Electric carving knives were designed for you to easily and precisely cut cooked meats such as turkey, ham, duck, or chicken. They offer you a convenient alternative to manual knives. Many trusted brands make electric carving knives, and although the features may differ slightly, here are a few things you can expect.

Easy-grip handle. Most rechargeable electric carving knives boast an ergonomic handle made out of polyurethane. Since you will be dealing with an electric appliance, it's essential that the handle is not only comfortable, but that it is slip proof as well.

Stainless steel blade. Electric knives come with a serrated carving blade: the sharper, the better. Some electric sets also come with an extra serrated blade that can be used on bread.

Non-slip on/off trigger. As we all know, meat straight from the oven should be moist and juicy. But that also can mean wet and slippery. A non-slip button is the key to safety, allowing you to turn the knife off at any time with a one-touch pressure-activated button.

Pull style release button. Releases blade when triggered. Whether you want to switch blades or are done craving and ready to clean, this mechanism makes blade release both handy and safe.

Storage case or box. There are any number of options when it comes to storage. Cases can be made of wood or plastic. Not only do they protect your carving knife blade from nicks, chips, and other damage, but the box is also attractive. This saves you counter space as well.

Power cord and batteries. Rechargeable electric knives are great because they are cordless and run off the power of a battery, which means you don't have to worry about a cord brushing up against the meat. Most rechargeable knives can run on their own for about an hour before they need a little juice. And if something goes awry, there's always the plug-in cord.

Carving fork. Some, but not all, electric knives come with a complimentary carving fork. Forks are great for holding meat firmly in place while you carve. If a carving fork is important to you, there are plenty of sets that include them.
