In the kitchen funnels are typically made from plastics or sheet metal. Funnels are available in various sizes and frequently come in sets that can be stacked into each other for easy storage. Use a funnel to transfer liquids from a pan into a canning jar or sugar from the bag to the sugar bowl. There are literally hundreds of uses for funnels and they have always been one of the most useful items in the kitchen.


Kitchen funnels have maintained the same basic design over the years with only slight modifications. Some funnels have a slight bowl shape to deter splashing when pouring liquids. Other funnels are even collapsible, making storage easy.
