Jar Opener Safety and Operation

Please use responsibly

Operation

1. Plug the cord of the jar opener into an electrical outlet. Be sure the plug is secure.

2. The Black and Decker Jar Opener has a release button near the handle. To get the jar into the opener, you will need to press the release button. Place both your hands on the handle, and push the button. The top of the jar opener should rise slightly. Pull the handle up until the jar opener locks in the raised position. This will allow enough room for the jar to be inserted.

3. Check to make sure the lower jar supports are as far apart as possible. Then, place the jar in the opener.

4. Place your hands on the handle, and push back the release button. This will cause the upper portion of the jar opener to lower onto the jar.

5. Press and hold the large on/off button on the top of the jar opener. When you hear the vacuum seal on the jar pop, the jar has been opened. Release the on/off button.

6. Use the release button to release the opened jar. Push the release button back. The lid will automatically be released from the upper portion of the jar opener.

7. Remove the jar.
