Measuring Cups

Individual measuring cup sets are commonly used for measuring out specific amounts of dry ingredients such as flour and sugar. Sizes include one quarter, one third, one half, and one cup. Larger sets have even more choices, but standard sets come with four individual cups. These measuring cups are available in a variety of materials including plastic, metal, and nylon.

Pitcher style measuring cups are used mainly for proportioning out liquids. These measuring cups are generally clear with measuring marks along the side. Most have a handle and spout and come in various capacities. This design of measuring cup is a versatile kitchen utensil and is used in conjunction with smaller individual measuring cups.
