Contain the splatter
Frying is a messy job. Splatter screens keep the grease contained when you fry bacon, sausages, potatoes and more. Simply place a screen over your frying pan and you won't have to worry about a messy stove or countertop.
Match your style
There are many innovative styles of splatter screens. Whether it is dome, round, or square shaped, each screen has a unique benefit. Some splatter screens fit more than one pan size, others have feet or a raised surface to keep the screen from touching the countertop. See which screen best matches your cooking style:
Round splatter screen with feet. The ingenious little feet on the base of this splatter screen keep it in place on the pan and keep the greasy screen from touching the countertop when you set it down. The 13-inch diameter fits most large frying pans.
OXO Good Grips splatter screen. The soft, comfortable handle folds down for compact storage and the slight arch in the screen keeps oil and grease away from surfaces when you rest it on the countertop. Two concentric rings center and secure the OXO splatter screen to your pan. A raised surface on the screen gives you clearance for pot handles, so the screen handle can rest directly over the pan handle.
Circulon splatter screen. Unlike other screens that sit flat on top of your pan and have to be lifted up when you turn food, this one fits on top of your pan like a lid and has curved sides that keeps the splatters contained. It also features a riveted, stay cool handle. This splatter screen fits many Circulon skillets and other round skillets, griddles and frying pans.
Multi fit splatter screen. This style splatter screen is uniquely designed to fold and fit smaller pans or expand for larger skillets. It is also non-stick, so it's easy to clean and the molded handle is cool to the touch.
Square splatter screen. For grills and griddles a square splatter screen is the answer. The long curved handle stays cool to the touch and makes the screen easy to use.
All Clad splatter screen. The All Clad stainless steel mesh screen fits 8-inch and 10-inch fry pans and 2-, 3- and 4-quart saute pans. The cast stainless steel handle has an up and over design making it easy to use and to store.
Handy uses
After deciding on the style you like, make sure the screen will fit your pan. Some styles come in sets of two or three to fit more pan sizes. These screens also come in handy for steaming, straining, draining, and adding liquids.
