The versatility of tongs makes them one of the most useful tools in the kitchen. Perfect for manipulating all manner of foods, tongs offer a way to extend the hand of the chef. Two common types of tongs include pinching and scissor designs. Pinching tongs simply use a pinching action to move, turn, or lift food. Scissor style tongs are commonly used for salads with fork and spoon ends.
