Lounger

Popularized in France during the Rococo period of the early 18th century, the chaise lounge combined the simplicity of the chair with the comfort of a bed.

The chaise lounge's asymmetrical styling with a headrest at one end and an elongated leg rest is still used for today's modern loungers, and come in both indoor and outdoor varieties.

Indoor loungers are usually padded and upholstered, supported by legs that sometimes feature decorative feet. Outdoor loungers are similarly styled, though many have a collapsible back at the headrest end; the back support can be adjusted to various heights from a fully upright position to a fully reclined position.

Outdoor loungers can also have adjustable leg rests, and while they are not upholstered, they are available in beautiful woods and bright nylons.
