Most entertainment centers are designed to be a stand-alone piece of furniture that is often placed in the living room, rec room, or family room. Shop around and make sure you find one that will work for you and not distract from other furniture in the room.

Be creative. Entertainment centers can also be created from other furniture. Wrought iron book shelves, large coffee tables, and old buffets can all be used to serve as an entertainment center. The main thing is to make sure that it will meet your needs and that it provides the look you are trying to achieve.
