Lawn darts is an outdoor game played by two players or teams. Each player or team has two large darts, about twelve inches long with a weighted tip. The players or teams toss the darts toward targets at the opposite side of the playing area.
Similar to horseshoes, lawn darts is a precision game that, while difficult to master, is simple to play and easy to learn for players of any age or skill level.
Unfortunately, as of 1988, lawn darts have been banned for sale in the United States, citing the dangerous nature of the darts themselves. However, a number of alternatives have surfaced. FlingSocks, a sock-like tube with a weighted, bean-bag end, are one such alternative which can be used in lieu of darts.
